Does anyone remember the man/bat problem? In which, when I'm alone in a house, I sometimes get scared of the man/bat thing from that "X-Files" episode? (Series 8, "Patience.") Last night, my roommate being away, and the electric bill for last month being sky high, I was getting ready for bed with the lights out. As I was walked into the living/dining room, already a little creeped out, I saw the silhouette of something hanging from the ceiling! Ya Rabb! Subhana Allah, it was the dining room light fixture, which currently has a feather boa hanging from it, and not a mutant killer, but oh my gosh. I still feel all kinds of uneasy. La hawla wa la quwata illa billah.
But happier things. Alhamdulillah, my command of el subjuntivo is improving. And I learned that, in Venezuela, nurses have bad reputations. Okay, that's not exactly happier, but it was really funny at the time, asta'ghfirullah.
I have to pack for the trip tonight, insha'Allah, because there is not likely to be any time tomorrow, wa Allahu alim.
There was an Austin vs. Dog Blood incident yesterday, subhana Allah.

Dare we ask why...? Though I suppose it's got to go somewhere...
La hawla wa la quwata illa billah.
Gesundheit!
I'm afraid I cannot comment on the rest of this entry because it appears to have fried my brane...

Hehe, it means, "There is no might nor power except in Allah."
Wait 'til you see tomorrow's then, insha'Allah wa Allahu alim (God willing, and God alone knows best).

'Oh, no, you have a bad reputation!'
Haha, I thought that was extremely funny, although looking back I don't know why.. hmm.
My mother always tells me that my faith is weak because I get freaked out right after I watch X-Files or Sesame Street or any other horrific thing, but yesterday she was eaten by a giant lizard-thing with eggs stuck to its tongue. So I can freak out whenever I want to.
OMG whatev.

Well, Allahu alim, but I don't think that getting freaked out by X-Files is a sign of weak faith, asta'ghfirullah. I think it's partly just the brain stem responding to what it perceives as real danger.
Whatev times 1,000.
